This probably seems like a silly idea and I may not be able to get my point across directly.

I want to use a cell phone as a WiFi dongle using my home WiFi to connect my wifi'cardless computer to the internet.

Clarification: not looking for a link to tethering, WiFi hotspot 101 threads.

They sell usb WiFi dongles at best buy for $15 but I was wondering if there was a way to get my phone to do the same thing.

Thanks in advance for the inevitable tethering/WiFi hotspot guide links.

I don't this this would be feasible. Since your PC does not have wifi, the phone would need to emulate a Wifi dongle, which is not trivial and possibly not feasible.
