What's the difference between the snapdragon 800 and 801

Now as the galaxy s5 and htc one m8 have the 801 and my lg g2 has a 800 and what is the difference? The both have the same GPU and cpu speed.

From Wikipedia: "(...)801 is designed to be a higher clocked variant of the Snapdragon 800, it also adds eMMC 5.0 support allowing transfer rates of up to 400 MB/s (MSM 8x74AC).(...)".
