I just read a news on phonearena.com that the z1c will not be sold in the US. I am going to Europe this summer so I will try to get it there.
The issue I have is with the warranty, does Sony provide international warranty? I imagine if they do it won't apply to the US since they don't sell it here.

How are US buyers dealing with this issue?

thanks

I bought mine from amazon so I was counting on them to back me up if I got a defective unit out of the box. As far as warranty, I've been around the Sony forums for a couple years now and honestly I wouldn't expect much support from Sony even if the phone was in the region where they sell it. I've read of a lot of people having bad experiences with Sony support. If you're using a credit card to buy, they might offer some assistance. I know my cc gives me an additional year of warranty after mfg warranty expires plus a 90 day accidental damage protection.

Good luck.
