Do developers who makes games/apps need to elect to allow the S pen to work on it???

I play a game called pocket trains and the S pen doesn't work at all within the game. Otherwise the pen works on everything else.

I have tried this on the Hyperdrive ROM as well as stock 4.3 (thanks safestrap).

Is this normal? Or should the S-Pen work on anything on the Note 3?

I actually got a reply from the pocket trains developer and he said they do not plan to support the Spen, so I guess developers DO have to specifically code or program for the Spen to work.

Bummer.

I have issues with Knights of Pen and Paper. Guess it's time to message them!

I am curious what Samsung had changed.

In my Note 1, the pen works with pretty much any games. The pen seems to just mimic touches.

Now, actually an SDK is needed for S-Pen to function with non-Samsung apps?!
