i have a wikipad 7 and seems to be an almost a clone to nexus 7 gen1 device so
could it be possible to use franco kernel in it ?

if it fails upon flashing would it break my recovery or i will get a hard brick and cant recover from backup?

Kernels almost always have very device specific things for everything from controlling CPU and GPU to wifi, bluetooth, sound, camera, etc. You would be lucky if it only soft bricked.
