Okay, i am not new to rooting or flashing roms. however,i have never done it with a note 2 and i keep skimming through threads and not fully understanding the device. i understand that 4.3 came with a locked bootloader. so i am asking how do i flash custom roms to my new device? (i am running 4.3 at the moment)

*any other important information about the device would greatly appreciated*

at 4.3 if you want to fash custom rom then you need safestrap recovery, but before that you need saferoot.

Saferoot is the way to go! Work's a treat and is very easy.
As for custom ROMs you'll need safe strap right enough.
I might be wrong but you will only be able to flash 4.3 based ROMs.
It should work fine for a Verizon note 2 but that's the only working version just now.
