ADD ONS & UC CONFIGUTATION
Cosmik Debris r2 introduces UC (User Customization). You can find more info about UC HERE.
It's very easy to install programs during the first initialization of the ROM.
You can add or remove stuff that you don't need, and uninstall the applications if you decide not to use them anymore.

If you do have problems removing a file please use a program like SKTools to remove it. At this time only Connection Setup seems to have this problem.

Cosmik Debris FAQ Section

1. Can I configure the Action Screen under the left soft key?
You can! I will post an example of how to change the new calendar function to create a new appointment using Pocket Informant.
Change the following registry keys:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Biotouch\ActionScreen\APP_3]
"Path"="\Program files\WebIS\PocketInformant\PocketInformant.exe"
"Param"="calendar -new"

2. Space for another question.
This contained info about a program that is no longer available in my ROM.

3. Show us the power of Mortscript!
I will provide a small example of how you can use Mortscript. For more Mortscript info you have to do a search. There are plenty of examples floating around.

Just create a blank text file with Notepad. Call it: CosmikDebris.mscr (for example).
Paste the following code into the text file. This piece of code expects Google Maps and Sashimi to be installed. Just modify it for personal use.

Piece of my Mortscript clean-up script:

Now copy the file to your device and use Total Commander to execute the file.
You can do this for all programs you install on your device and run the script only once! It will clean up your Start Menu for you.

4. I can't remove the files that are installed during the UC installation!
I've checked all files and only Connection Setup seems to have some problems. Use a program like SKTools to remove it.
Note: Soft reset before you remove any program.

5. Can I use this ROM on my CDMA device?
No, this is a GSM only version.

McCune's Cosmik Debris

After a lot of flashing and messing up my devices I think it's time to release my personal ROM to the public now.
The main reason is that a lot of ROM's that are released are more about being the latest so it's about time someone's gonna make a change...
I can't seem to get used to WM6.5 just yet. Biggest problem for me is the Start Menu. Already found an alternative for that so it might be that I'm going to build a WM6.5 ROM that follows the same philosophy as this WM6.1 ROM.

So what's this ROM about?
I like my ROM's to be clean, fast and stable. Therefore I'm still using WM6.1 as a base for my ROM.
Most actions like messaging, calling etc. should only be one or two steps at the most.
There are some reasons on why I leave out some stuff like stuff from HTC. An example is the Large Menu's\Notifications. This breaks the interval snooze function and menu's pop-up to slow for me. These are causing problems with older programs like Total Commander from time to time.

To keep things organized I've added a section called "ADD ONS". This contains repacked CAB files to keep the Windows folder clean. Note that these files are tested with my ROM only!

This ROM is Mortscript enabled. I believe that Mortscript is very powerful and I'm thinking of adding some more Mortscript features in the future but time will tell.

I really hope, you few who still use WM6.1, that this ROM will be your daily used ROM for a while, as it has been mine for quite some time!

It does support kinetic scrolling when you use File Explorer or a program like TotalCommander. HTC Menu's has been removed so most menu's just fit on your screen. It does not support kinetic scrolling in the menus like in WM6.5.

Thanks. This sound like a good ROM to run Androkkid or another UI on.. May have to try it out later.

Just ordered my ATT Tilt 2 today and it's coming with 6.5. I will be able to put 6.1 on my Tilt2 right?

The ROM is for GSM only. As long as that's the case it should work just fine.
