Default Phone usb burning up

Help this is quite serious. I was charging my phone through my laptop, suddenly there was this hissing sound.

I realised the sound came from the USB cable connection. I quickly unplugged the phone.

I smelled the tip of my cable, and smelled like it was burnt.

I was shocked because I never experienced something like this before.

I thought my USB cable was spoiled. However, when I used another cable to charge my phone, the same thing occurred.

The phone micro USB port got really hot and it was smelling like it was burnt. The phone bottom will get very hot when it is connected. It won't charge.

What is happening?

Btw I have not dropped it or done anything with the phone except for rooting and unlocking bootloader.

My phone micro USB port will have a burnt smell whenever it is connected to a USB cable. It will get very hot at the bottom of the phone.

My phone is slowly dying. Can't be charged.

I would suggest starting with the easiest thing - try cleaning the micro-USB port in the phone. Some conductive material may have gotten caught in it, causing a short circuit. Use a wooden toothpick, a compressed air, and a magnifying glass with a light for a visual check.

If this doesn't help, try a different charging cable, as it might also be a problem with the connector on the cable's end.

If the problem persists, the phone has to be taken apart to diagnose this.

Edit: sorry, didn't notice you have already tried another cable...

To whom it may concern: STOP nagging about pressing the freakin' Thanks button!!! It is rude, stupid, and annoying as hell. I am not an idiot who needs a huge in-my-face reminder to press it, and I will press it when I feel thankful, not because you asked for it!
