Default Headphone Jack is terrible

Every time I plug in my headphones, it detects them, but the slightest movement pretty much tells the G2 they're detached. Any one found a fix? I did the compressed air thing, but the problem is still there. A variety of G2 owners have this issue it seems.

Agreed - someone/something has knackered your socket.

I hammer mine and it's still perfect.

You could try a little "Contact Cleaner/Lubricant" such as Servisol - this will clean any poor contacts if they exist. Is the problem limited to one earphone set? Some plugs are "not great".
Moto G 16GB (Good noddy phone for Mrs Ash)
Sony Xperia ZL - Actually better than the Z for me - and LOUD! (daughter 1)
LG G2 d802 - rooted Stock 80220C with Bloat removed (daughter 2)
Sony Xperia Z2 - rooted stock (me)
iPAD 2 - was good in 2011, now seems a bit pants!
