Have this issue since today with this process gsifff_deamo which is sucking my battery dry very quick. Did some searching and it seems to be related to the built in gyroscope and gps module. I downloaded and installed MapFactor Navigation from Play a few days ago ad this may be the culprit. Gona test this out. Posted this for any of you maybe having some issues with gsiff_deamon too

This process is related with gps and qualcomm stuff. Maybe some rogue process is using it. Can you try and reboot the phone after charging to 100 %?
Check also Wakelock Detector from the app store; should help you find the culprit.
