Guys, please help! I have installed cyanogenmod rom on my Kindle fire 1st gen and don't install Fire fire fire utility. Currently Kindle Fire Utility shows ADB status: Online but Boot status: unknown. I want to install new custom rom but can't get into TWRP. If I choose from rom's power menu reboot into recovery it only reboots to cyanogenmod, can't enter recovery with button either.

You should try to change the boot mode to fastboot through adb and then try fastboot reboot recovery to try and get into recovery that way, might work.
