[Q] Backing up after root

Hi guys, dont know if im posting in the right place. (Correct me if im wrong)
I recently got a huawei Y300 after bricking my last tablet after rooting.
Long story short, i rooted My huawei Y300 and i wanna make a backup of the custom rom. i Installed twrp but everytime i press backup, The phone reboots without making the backup.
Can anyone help me backup before i brick this device too? i dont want to unroot

try to flash a different version of twrp, or cwm if available

Hi. No luck with that. So i Still need help. Random Question, i rooted using "Kingo Android Root". Does the bootloader have to be unlocked for me to backup? I just got my boot loader pin. Im assuming Kingo didnt unlock the Bootloader. Can anyone assist?
