i'm writing right now a detailed review of the watch and will be posting it in a new thread.

Yes it has all the functions you would expect from a normal watch and they can be used without a phone , so you can set alarms.

Neither this nor the Pebble have GPS. But they do have an accelerometer.

The info' in the ClearDroid link watch comparison I posted is incorrect, its says it has a GPS.

can't wait for the review, mentioning all the 'stand alone watch' functions will be most helpful.

...this watch keeps getting better.

What sensor does a compass app use. d'you know?
