Default [Q] Noob trying to get a working wfs

I'm pretty new to flashing/rooting a phone, but busy now for a few days. With help of different threads here I managed to unlock the wfs.

What I want:
a working phone, with an installation Android 4.2.

Additional information:
I know how to start hboot
In hboot when i select recovery, I get an HTC logo, after that the screen turns black (whit a litlle bit of backlight)
When I startup normally, I have a HTC logo and the screen turns black)
I have a SD card which is not orignal for this phone.

C:\Android>fastboot getvar all

Which recovery version did you install? Just btw CM11 is running great. I really suggest to try it Are you familiar with flashing a custom recovery?
HTC One S @ PAC-man 4.4.2 [ALPHA1] [12/5/2014] + IceCode Kernel v4.0 // HBoot 2.15 - unlocked BL - S-OFF - NO "tampered & warning text" // TWRP mod 2.7.0.8

Samsung Galaxy W @ ParanoidAndroid 4.3 [BETA3] [6/5/2014] + KhaN Kernel v2.0 // Base: I8150XXLMI // PhilZ CWM 6.01.4

"REVIVED" HTC Wildfire S @ CyanogenMod 11(AWESOME!!!) [6/5/2014] //HBoot 1.09 - unlocked BL // TWRP 2.7.0.0

It won't hurt you to press "thanks" if me or someone other helped you...

Mmm, I think I haven't installed a recovery, yet. I completly new to do anything else with a phone than the stuff how they come from store. Was already intrested, but never took the time. However, now I'm moving to another country and having multiple phones all the time, and don't like to buy a new phone with dual sim. So that's where I am at...

Where can I find a recovery and install?

Check the DEVELOPMENT for Roms + recoveries. TWRP 2.7 or cwm 6.0.4.8 are latest versions abailable.

TWRP 2.7 was most easy to find, and working very easily. A step loser to a working phone, think I will manage from here. Thanks!
