Question [Q] Sleep Mode or Qualcomm Snapdragon BatteryGuru

Hi all.

I came from the SGS4 and just got my new HTC One M8 a few days ago

I noticed this phone has "sleep mode" and wondered if that basically does the same thing as BatteryGuru.
BatteryGuru really helped on the S4 but this phone stock already has superior battery life than the S4 with BatteryGuru.

My questions:

Will activating sleep mode and using BatteryGuru conflict with each other?

Should I even bother to use BatteryGuru since this phone has sleep mode?

Appreciate any and all opinions/recommendations

I ran Battery Guru for a bit, having been satisfied with its help on the Rezound, but I found it more often than not got in the way on my M8. It's control of wifi, for instance, had it turning ON wifi periodically, even after I turned it off (it's a setting, I know, but it just should leave it ALONE when I tell it to, and that wasn't an option). The way I figured it, HTC and Qualcomm must have collaborated on the great battery savings I was seeing on the device, Battery Guru was just getting in the way and adding overhead. I haven't missed it at all.
