Hello,

hopefully this is in the right section. I recently inquired a S5 brand new in Thailand and making the switch from iPhone, has not been that easy.

Here is my problem (I've searched a lot and tried a lot of different things..)

Code:
<ID:0/008> Added!!
<ID:0/008> Odin v.3 engine (ID:8)..
<ID:0/008> File analysis..
<ID:0/008> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/008> Initialzation..
<ID:0/008> Get PIT for mapping..
<ID:0/008> Firmware update start..
<ID:0/008> recovery.img
<ID:0/008> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/008> FAIL! (Auth)
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)

on my S5 this is the error I'm presented with: Secure Check Fail: Recovery
I've tried changing cables, computers, enabling developer mode, disabling AVP, changing usb modes. I have also checked so the BW is OK and I'm on 4.4.2 and my model number is SM-G900F. Using: CF-Auto-Root-klte-kltexx-smg900f.tar.md5 The phone is not locked to any carrier, language is set to English (US) and current sim is AIS.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Hmm. You're talking about changing USB modes and USB Debugging... You know that you have to be Download Mode for this to work? Those settings don't affect the Download Mode at all. There was some talk in the S5 rooting thread about a reactivation lock, but I think the error message is different than yours. I actually couldn't find anyone with the same error message for your version so didn't find much helpful info, sorry.

Yes sorry forgot to mention that, of course I am in download mode... Yeah, I have no idea what seems to be the error and I've tried quite a lot of different methods. Maybe this is something for the developer?

Thanks for your reply though!
