Question [Q] Slow GPS fix on Xperia V

Has anyone noticed if the time for GPS fix varies by ROM?

I'm not sure if I'm imagining it, but I remember 9.1.A.1.140 being a lot quicker to get a fix than most of the ROMs I've tried recently

CM11 feels quite quick, 1-3 minutes, AOKP never got a fix for me
Lovin's .210 and steveboss deodex .210 takes around 5-10 mins

I've yet to try Carbon or OmniROM

Do the programs requesting the GPS fix make a difference? Google Maps and Endomondo sports seem much quicker in comparison to Ingress to get a fix

You need several minutes to get GPS signal?
Either you're in a building and not under clear sky or sth. is VERY wrong with your device.... under clear sky there shouldn't be ANY problem and a signal within a bunch of seconds. I'm using 4.3 version .210, before that CM 10.2, before that 4.1 stock... no problem at all; my navigation app never needed more than 10 seconds to get my position (in the car).
Sony Xperia V (LT25i)
Official 4.3 (9.2.A.2.5, stripped) @ SuperSU 2.00 & PhilZ XZDualRecovery
Giving CM11 @ BaNkS Minimal GApps a fourth (and hopefully last) chance.

Yep, last night it took over 15 minutes to get the first fix in an open area, with overcast clouds

I used AndroiTS GPS Test, and it seems to get GLONASS sats, but never uses them. Then after 5-10 min, the normal GPS sats kick in.
I'll try reflashing a wiping again, see if that helps.

Logcat seems full of LocSvc_adapter and LocSvc_eng errors
