First post... So, hello XDA

This has probably been asked many times in heaps of forums, but I can't find the answer I want; so here it is.

I would like to delete bloat-ware and other unwanted non-system apps from custom roms before I flash them.

1. Can I just extract the rom zip, delete the unwanted apps then zip it back up with 7Zip once finished?

2. Can I add apps that I do want, say apps that I have backed up with titanium or S5 ported apps that I use. If so is there a procedure or way of doing this. Or can they just be placed in their respective folders.

Sorry if these questions have been asked before.

Thank you in advance.

I did that with Note1, should work also with Note3, just drag your added apps to their respective folders
