Default Verizon service - A way to have two phones activated?

My friend, whos on my family plan, just downgraded from a galaxy S3 to an env3. I bought the galaxy S3 from him. I currently have a Galaxy S4. I want to have both phones activated with my phone number. Is that possible? If so, How?
Currently when I did a factory reset it still shows that its activated to my friends number. I can only assume thats because of the SIM card.

You can use different 4G phones by swapping the SIM card out. You could use Groove IP and use other phone as a wireless phone but to my knowledge I don't know of a way to have both phones on the same number without swapping SIM
