Post [Q] Kindle Fire boot looped for a year and now it booted up

Ok, so I tried to root this thing like a year ago with no success. After i failed it bootlooped. I left it charging for a year and forgot about it. This morning when i woke up it booted up into android os. Now I am afraid to turn it off... What could have made this happen and how can i fix this?

Too many possibilities. Great story! I would be tempted to get a fresh download of a ROM and flash again. But that all depends upon your version of twrp and what ROM you flashed originally. A year ago was maybe Jellybean. The latest kitkat requires a recent version of twrp.
