When Windows detects the device for the first time, point it to where you have extracted the contents of that zip.

Windows -.-

However, if you install these drivers Windows will recognize your device as a portable media player and asks every time if you are sure if you want to copy the files to your "portable media player". And no, you can't deactivate this annoying message ( http://social.technet.microsoft.com...file-when-copying-mp3s-to-mtp?forum=w7itproui )!

Anyway, thanks for the drivers :good:
And now I have an additional reason for hating Microsoft...

I dont get that option??

Im using Windows 7 professional 64 bit.

When i rename a file, it does not allow me to change the file extension?

When i click it to rename it, the file does not even end with ".img", it ends with ".msi" but windows still sees it as a "Disk Image File".

I guess you don't see the extension (the real one) because the default setting on your Windows explorer is set to hide extensions.
You can either go to "Tools->Folder Options->View" and look for something like "Hide extension for know types",
or open a CMD (Start menu->run->cmd.exe) go to whatever directory you saved the file, and rename the file manually with:
ren Motorola_Mobile_Drivers_64bit.msi.img Motorola_Mobile_Drivers_64bit.msi

like this:
Code:
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\Downloads>dir
Volume in drive C is WIN
 Volume Serial Number is 5C03-D9BA

 Directory of C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\Downloads

07/04/2014 19:32 <DIR> .

Thanks for your help! Really appreciate it.

I got impatient and just ended up transferring the file to my device, and using es file explorer to rename the file, then transferred it back to my PC.

But I will unhide my file extensions to save myself the headache for next time!

Here are the USB / ADB drivers for WinXP/7/8/10 for those that don't want to install 'Motorola Device Manager.'

Remember to enable: Settings > Developer options > USB debugging

These are taken from the "Motorola Device Manager" install package.
Just remove the ".img" from the file and install (can't upload a .msi file)
