You need to go back to 4.2.2 and then use a method like this unfortunately:

I think it's also possible to do it without unlocking/relocking bootloader using NUT's method but I haven't seen it confirmed.

I can confirm you can do it without unlocking/relocking bootloader because that is exactly what I did.

I followed the steps in my post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...1&postcount=23

One other step was to go to the external sd card and delete or rename xzdr.prop file and allow XZDualRecovery to recreate it by rebooting.

You'll have to do some reading but here you go.

1. Use flashtool to return to stock 10.3.A.0.423
Go to flashtool.net (site is down right now, maybe you'll have to find it somewhere else)
Link to 423 FTF for 6506: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2332539. If you're on a different model, you'll have to search the development forum for the right one.

2. Root using Doomlord's tool
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2332407

2a. (Backup TA just to be safe)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2292598

3. Flash Nut's dual recovery.

4. Flash the ZIP file provided in this thread
5. Flash the stripped FTF using Flashtool
