Default Getting rid of Stock E-Mail App

Hi guys,

honestly, the Samsung E-Mail Client App is a little outdated, while the calendar app isn't too bad at all. Is there a way to get rid of just their E-Mail stuff and go with the Google defaults while still keeping their s-Planner (intact!)?

Cheers

Rei

I found a solution while playing around which seems to work so far
  1. Installing the Mail and Exchange apks
  2. Remove Samsung "Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync"-Accounts
  3. Add Exchange Accounts
  4. Reconfigure sPlanner to use the new Calendars (didn't know that that works!)
  5. Reconfigure Contacts (not sure if Samsung did hook in there too much too)
  6. Hiding the Samsung E-Mail App (Xpose or Hide-Apps Settings - depends on launcher)

Problems found:
  • Display of Contacts Birthday in sPlanner
