The partial MK2 downgrade probably won't be fully functional (wifi, sound) without manual stuff like using bypasslkm that might need to be done on every boot. Not sure, haven't followed progress there too closely.

The reason to go back to NC5 would be that it's the simplest, and newest (NC5 is Kitkat/4.4.2, MK2 is JB/4.3).
