You can only use Saferoot to gain root access. You can only use Safestrap to flash custom TouchWiz VRUCML1 4.3 roms only. No AOSP roms. No custom kernels. No custom recoveries. Do not attempt to unlock the bootloader or Odin flash pre-4.3 stock images, you will hard brick the device.

The furthest back that you can flash is to VRUCML1 4.3 via Odin, which can then be rooted as previously detailed. Download the VRUCML1 stock image from here and you might have to unzip it so that it ends in .tar or .tar.md5

Just follow the "4.3 with Odin" steps:

Edit: This will format /sdcard, which means EVERYTHING on the phone.

I don't think I can be any clearer than in my first post. Once on VRUCML1, you will be able to use Saferoot then install Safestrap which will allow you to flash ONLY custom TouchWiz VRUCML1 4.3 based roms.

You can find them in the development section with "VRUCML1" or "ML1" in the title. There are at least 6 different VRUCML1 custom roms that are compatible with Safestrap. If the rom title that you click on does not explicitly state either in the title, then it is safe to assume that it is not compatible for you.
