I'm leaving the country for a couple weeks, and I want to bring my S4 as a camera/wifi device. Will putting the phone in airplane mode and enabling wifi work for this, or do I need to do more, like pulling the sim card? All the Horror stories of huge accidental phone bills have me scared. On the google experience port for the Verizon S4.

Pulling your SIM couldn't hurt. I don't think Airplane Mode is necessary since you might want to use Bluetooth and Wifi when you're overseas.
