What this project is very nice! It reminds me of the old gameboy I used to have in the 90's, the grey huge fridge without backlighting and/or colours. Looks great man!

Try to create the on and off button as well original, it's the details what makes it perfect .

You should update the OP to show your progress and maybe some of your technical work if you want to share it. That being said, would it be possible to route all the buttons through PCB relays or something similar? Have the screen lock button toggle the relays cutting the signal from the buttons. Just throwing out ideas

Thumbs up Could you please let me know how to make phone calls without opening the keyboard ?

Quote:
First i couldnt use the phone to call when it was closed.
Then i used the app Fullscreen Caller ID and i could use the phone to call when its closed .
With fully functional front and backspeaker but the mic is underneath the display when its closed.
Hi,

Could you please let me know how to make phone calls without opening the keyboard ? since i am using flipout and i want to make phone calls without opening the keyboard as you said i tried Fullscreen caller id it works fine only in case of incoming calls but while making outgoing calls it displays "open the phone to place a call.". Please let me know how to make it work so that it will be very useful for me.

Thumbs up very interesting project

Thank you for the inspiration. I just saw my old Xperia X10 mini pro (mimmi) and now i have a idea what to do.
My idea
- Custom case (something like old school gamepad)
- Built-in second battery
- modified keyboard
- Stereo speakers
- Custom Launcher

What i need to do before start realizing.
1. Fix some grades in school
2. Repair USB port an 3,5 Jack and touchscreen on Xperia
3. and start

So I wish you good luck with your project and thank you for inspiration.
