Default [Q] Infrared Remote to Control Android

Hi folks,

I bought a USB IR receiver today with the thought of using it to control my MK808B, which is an anroid stick that connects to a TV via HDMI. I had in mind some kind of app that would learn commands from any remote (old TV remote, etc.) and map them to android functions (up, down, enter, vol+, etc.). Does something like this exist? If not, can it be done a different way?

For reference, this is the IR module I bought: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...658&CatId=2688

Thanks for your advice!
