Default [Q] About htc one m8 Battery (crucial)

Hey guys

I have heard that a new htc one m8 mustn't have initial charge when opening the box and if it has charge it means that the phone is not new.

Is that true?
When you bought it, had initial charge or not?

Thanks in advance.

DONATE TO ME
The all depends where you buy from but a retail store won't well 2nd hand units as new. Mine had a charge from CPW which is one of the biggest retailers in the UK

As far as I know, all phones are (or should) be sold with some charge today, as Lithium batteries don't like being drained to 0% and like even less being stored at 0% for months.
Current phone: HTC One (M8)

Previous phones:
HTC HD2 (Dec 2010 - Apr 2014; thank you Leo!)
HTC Touch HD (Dec 2008 - Dec 2010)
HTC Touch Cruise (May 2008 - Sep 2008 [stolen])
Previously: Nokia 6630, Nokia 3510
