I understand the M8 supports Quick Charge 1.0 with the supplied Charger/Cable (1.5A)

Not sure if any of you have the same issue as I do, however the cable supplied in more recent batches of phones are shorter. The last HTC Phone I had which came with a longer cable is my original Evo 4G.

I do have a Black Berry cable I use which is nice and long. Do you guys think the cable itself can hinder charging capabilities of Quick Charge? Are the Quick Charge cables that come with the phone specifically manufactured to work with Quick Charge?

no, the quickcharge is solely reliant on the output of the wall brick itself. unless the cable is broken any cable should do
