No, it isn't.

Software is by large the top differentiator.

A 50ms lag is the least of your concerns when you have deadlocks or synchronous tasks, calls that are poorly optimized. Or 50 extra processes and layers on top of the platform.

Because a blog says so doesn't makes it so.
