[Q] It doesn't make sense installing custom kernel via flash tool

Default [Q] It doesn't make sense installing custom kernel via flash tool

Sorry for this noob question.. I'm trying to flash a custom kernel in my arc s and it fails,It says "The device must be rooted" even tough my device is rooted here's the flash tool log.

BTW I'm using Honami ROM Superlative edition I'm trying to install LUPUS V16

Is your device unlocked?
I mean, you NEED the bootloader to be unlock to flash a custom kernel. It's a different thing from root.
There is a tutorial in the sony website:

http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/

Or, there is an option (i guess in the flastool thread) for testing if you had (or not) the bootloader unlock

Try to use QuickIMG to flash kernel bro.

then your bootloader is open

thanks guys my bootloader is unlocked.. thanks for your help! but i noticed a problem my standby battery drains super fast in 7hr stand by I loose 45% of my battery I tried so many roms and the results are the same. I guess the phone is old.. anyway thanks your help guys
