Default [Q]Email app permisions

After connecting my mail to my university exchange account, this is which permissions it asks for, and if not granted doesn't work:

Is this safe, and if not, how can I remove those permissions w/o removing my mail.
HTC One / Android 4.4.2 AR GPE / Xposed Framework / ElementalX 11.7 / FW 4.06.1540.3 / TWRP 2.7.1.1 / Rumrunner S-off / CID-11111111

DONATE TO ME
It's the stock email app. It's safe. You can't remove the permissions if you need to use an Exchange account with that version of the email app. If you really need to use Exchange without those permissions, there is a modded version of the app:

or via Xposed:

Need some help, advice, something fixed? Hit me up on Hangouts @ es0tericcha0s and check out my site: http://mobilemojo5280.com for more info!

HTC Droid Eris / Motorola Droid / Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate / Motorola Droid X / LG G2x / HTC Evo 3D (x2) / Samsung Epic 4G Touch (Sprint S2) / HTC Amaze / Samsung Galaxy S3 (International) / Samsung Galaxy Note 2 / Nexus 4 / HTC One / Samsung Galaxy S4 / Sony Xperia ZL / Nexus 5 / ? (One+1 maybe...)

I don't really have to do that, I just wasn't sure about this, thanks for the clarification.
