Default [Q] Help with bricked KFHD cant get into fastboot

a couble of weeks ago y was trying to flash a new rom on my KFHD and bricked it, then tried going into fastboot and restoring system.img and after a failed attempt now my system wont boot at all, all i get is the orange KindleFire logo bootanimation and it freezes. i bought a factory cable on ebay but nothing happens when i plug it in pls help on troubleshooting this !

It could be a bad fastboot cable, have seen people buy them before and not work. I recommend the blackhat adapters myself that hashcode mentions on his 2nd bootloader + twrp tutorial.

It should switch itself on when you plug the cable in and boot straight to fastboot. If not then the cable could be bad.

The only difference between a normal cable and a fastboot cable is pin 4 has power from pin 1. Bodging a cable is an option.
