Default [Q] Firmware 1.54.401.10 or 1.57.531.7

I have an Unlocked, S-OFF T-Mobile HTC One M8 which is running ARHD 7.0. ARHD is based on 1.54.401.10. Meanwhile there is a custom T-Mobile Firmware 1.57.531.7. Which firmware should I be using for best results. Should I flash 1.54.401.10 and then flash the latest TMO Radio

That's kinda the right answer...if it doesn't work, flash the 1.54.401.10 FW again. Can't hurt, but my 2p is stick to the FW package the ROM is based on as it's written to work together
HTC One M8 (Gunmetal Grey) 16GB
ROM: 1.54.401.10 (KOT49H) | HBOOT: 3.16.0.0000 S-OFF | Recovery: Stock | Baseband: 1.16.2133156.UA15G_20.18m.4096.07L | Kernel: Stock | CID: HTC__001

OnePlus One (Sandstone Black) 64GB *** PENDING ***

If you have a question, great - but DO NOT PM ME WITH IT!!! | [GUIDE] Return your EU M8 to 100% Stock (S-OFF Required)

Don't know if this helps but I'm using the InsertCoin v3 ROM which is a 1.54 FW version with the 1.57 FW and it works perfectly. Maybe the updates for 1.57 are minor and not enough to have any ill effects.
T-Mobile HTC-One M8
Rom: Android Revolution HD 8.1
Firmware: 1.54.401.10
S-Off - Super CID
Recovery: TWRP v2.7.0.2
T-Mobile Galaxy S4
Rom: WICKEDô v10
Kernel: BioShock 4.3 v4.1
Recovery: TWRP v2.5.0.2
Samsung Galaxy S II - Retired
Samsung Vibrant - Retired

It will probably work either way.

What's best will depend on whether you want to optimise battery life, signal, call quality or something else.

That might depend on your location, the phase of the moon or whatever.

There are too many variables and way too many unknowns for anybody to give you a definitive answer.

Try it and see.
