I am trying to use MHL and charge faster at the same time and was wondering if I can install a fast boot kernel to fix this issue? Also can I do this to my S4 that is on MK2 and rooted? Or do you need bootloader unlocked? I have never screwed with kernels before!

Also which kernel would you suggest?

No custom kernels.
They must be signed. Only stock kernel.
