Regarding rooting htc m8

Hello i would like to know whats the best way and easy to root htc m8, rooting and do i need to have s off and also unlock bootloader,and is so what is the process,.thank you..sorry for posting in wrong thread

You could've just searched really quick. This was the first thing that came up and took me less than 10 seconds to find. You should always read as much as possible before doing anything to your expensive device.

Hi,
If you want to root and flash custom ROMS then you need to unlock bootloader and root
S-off is not needed to have ROMS and kernels and play around with apps needing root

you can use this site to follow instructions for Root

As an RD you really shouldn't be directing people to use toolkits but encouraging them to learn to use adb/fastboot so they can do it all manually
