I installed an unofficial cyanogen mod 11 ROM on my fascinate and it took 2.5 hours to boot up the first time, and now it takes 30 minutes to boot up anytime I try to turn it on and drains 50% of the battery during this. How can I get it to boot in 1-2 minutes? Is it a problem with the ROM? I'm using Unofficial CyanogenMod 11 4.4.2. Thanks!

it is actually a ROM problem. it probably will never get fixed since the maintainer admitted to not being able to maintain it. don't bother with trying to run android 4.4 on this phone.

Thanks for the information! I tried ParanoidAndroid 4.3 beta 3 instead and it worked. I didn't see your suggestion to forget 4.4 until after I flashed the ROM, but it takes 5 minutes to boot now and I'm okay with that.

I really think you just got a bad flash on that cm11,,

PA is result the best choice right now anyway.

It's the most complete with the fewest problems.

The reason skept is saying stay away is all the issues with all the other versions,,, either no 3g signal, spontaneous reboots, slow response, lag, etc.
Although some don't notice or mind these issues, for whatever reason.

All in all we don't have much to choose from in the 4.4 kitkat ROMs.
