While flashing a recovery for the first time over stock, you need to uncheck the Auto-reboot option and directly boot into the recovery from Download mode.Once you are in the recovery, flash Fix-Recovery.zip to give CWM proper permissions, then your recovery wont revert to stock Samsung recovery on each boot.

You only have to do it once you are on an untouched firmware, you can update and switch recoveries without worrying about it again.

Fix-Recovery: Fix-Recovery.zip

Take the 4.2.2 recovery tar file from here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2315529
Here is a step by step thing I posted for one of the users once if you still have trouble with it : http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...7&postcount=19
