Hey guys,

Did a search and didn't really come up with anything.

I've had my HD+ on CM10.2 for a while now. I was great at first but lately has been running VERY slow and buggy, (Apps take forever to open, like almost a minute and crash very frequently). So I decided to update to CM11 (most recent stable version) to see if that would help.

Well it's even worse now. Apps still take forever to open, the Nook sometimes doesn't respond to a screen tap for about 20 seconds and crashes are very common. I did notice that the eMMc is pretty full. I freed up about a gig of space but that hasn't helped. I read in the install thread something about enabling Art but I don't know what that is. Are there some settings that I need to change that would help with the lag?

I also still have the screen flashing while charging problem. I was hoping CM11 would fix that.

I've got CM on the eMMc by the way.

If your free space gets much below 3 GB the lag kicks in pretty bad. Free up more that 1 GB. Running a manual trim might help but be careful of bricking. Read the trim thread.

I am still on 10.1.3 and I do a manual trim from the terminal once a week
I run this with wifi turned off
It is unscheduled because I do not want this action if an app is misbehaving or the system is not responsive

This has worked well for the past 6 months and I have > 300 apps installed

I recommend clearing the cache and keeping all media files on the /ext_sdcard

If you want to see the Nook choke just fill the /sdcard to 95%
I try to keep at least 4gb of space free on internal storage partition /sdcard
