Metal impacts radio signals and far less forgiving to the display if dropped. Especially a bigger display like this.

At home the M8 has about 2 dBm less signal in medium to weak areas than the already average signal S4.

I respect folks that like metal since personal choice, but for me that is more style over substance.

Well the lg g3 the same metal feel while being plastic, in fact they have added a metallic finish layer.

So what more do you want, metal and plastic benefit?

I dont see the hype in glass, I can understand metal with a rough nice feeling. Glass loves fingerprints and smudge just like glossy plastic and even more slippery than glossy plastic. It weights more and cant be formed. I never managed to break a glass backside but if you do you risk shards that you can cut yourself on.

Please do explain what the benefit with a glass body is.
