How much ram do you have available with no apps open?

Hi guys running a stock android rom i beleive, with no apps mine is 0.9gb used 800mb free

is this normal?

I am on stock jelly bean when I bootup about 1GB free then start using Web browser and it drops to about 700-850mb free.

I have tried to keep it above 900 but no luck. Shouldn't be an issue though .

I'm on stock 4.4.2 and with no apps open I have 583mb free - 1.24GB used. Seems high with nothing open.
