Default Safe charging speed with certain car charger?

Quick question, quite urgent though. I ordered this monoprice car charger

http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_i...seq=1&format=2

And I want to make sure I will be able to safely charge my phone with the standard htc USB cable, as well as charge a droid 4 with its standard Motorola USB cable without overheating or whatnot. I'm leaving on a long car ride tomorrow and waited to long to figure this out on my own lol.

Thanks in advance

If you charge and navigate it will get hot no matter what. Same if you charge and play music. I have been in 3 12 hour round trip car rides in the past two weeks. As long as you have AC it's not a big deal.

Yes, one device (most likely droid 4) will be running GPS. The droid 4 is used daily as a GPS when plugged in to a Verizon car charger, but that broke and I was just double checking that this new car charger won't cause any complications?

I personally use a moto quick charger in the car and had no issues
