I tried it for the G900P (Sprint) but it stalls on the choose a language screen. I can scroll through the languages but it doesn't let me choose one or continue to the next screen. If you're willing to take a look at it that'd be great. I can test it and get back to you the same day.

Tested on Verizon GS5 development edition. Still buggy but a GREAT START!

Non working items

1. Phone
2. Camera
3. No External SD support
4. Hardware mapping for recent button not working under any circumstances

Question: When will you address the phone and camera issues?

Fantastic start though. Really excited to flash this back once phone starts working. Kinda need my phone to make calls.

These guys are building off of Garwynn's public Github. Garwynn is doing the bringup and he never intended for these roms to be released yet. No one in these forums is helping to fix the issues, they are only kanging Garwynn. Follow https://plus.google.com/+XdaGarwynn/posts to see the progress on fixing these things.

P.S., Garwynn has a Sprint S5 which is why the current roms only support Sprint calls/data.

Kanging? Really? Strong accusations. That's like saying anyone that syncs with any part of Google or cyanogenmod is Kanging them. The team is absolutely working to fix these issues as well as others on all the supported devices. There are very specific repo syncs pertaining to things like device specific proprietaries. Kanging... rightttttt

Kanging is the correct term. Garwynn has not been mentioned, credited, or thanked in this thread. I also find it curious that your "team" has not been able to find, fix, or correct a single issue that exists outside of waiting for Garwynn. Interesting...

Troll much? I state specifically in the op to let me know if there's someone who's made contributions that I haven't added to the thanks list. So, I'll add him to the list. You've failed to give any real evidence of this so called Kanging, so we'll just move on from there... if you took the time to research vanir, explore the changelog, git, source you'd have some greater clarity I'd say. The team maintains many devices, the s5 being newly added. Naturally it might take a moment.

Now please relax. This thread also we called it Development. All Development that give Mod custom we call it developers. Chill guys

Everyone calm down. If someone feels that this rom is somehow using someone elses work without credit, either a) ask that this person be added to the OP credits section, b) alert this person so they can investigate to see if it's their work. We absolutely don't need a thread full of flaming and accusations.

Now, I'm super excited to see a rom in the works compatible with Verizon dev S5. Our development section was getting lonely. I'll be watching this thread for bug fixes. Thanks!

Hi folks! As one of the folks working hard on the bringup allow me to answer some Qs. These answers will generally apply to ALL AOSP S5 builds using either mine, tdm or elelinux repos as a base for the device.
This stuff applies to the device-specific part of the ROM, not VanirAOSP itself (such as its framework, apps, etc.)

1) Is the build unified?
Yes. The only one we need a fingerprint for is AT&T.

2) Has it been tested on all variants?
No, because none of us feel it is stable enough to release to the public yet.
(That for sure can be said of CM, AOKP and AOSPA-legacy at this point; others I cannot say that's the case.)

2) CDMA working?
As of my last repos, yes. Haven't tried on 4.4.3 so VanirAOSP will have to speak on that.
I was told that included a Verizon test but I'm not actively advertising my builds because they're not ready for prime time.
(I have a build that I may be willing to PM but as it's not going to have some things working I would prefer it not be shared.)

3) Camera working?
All S5 AOSP builds are suffering from the camera fail - unless it's been addressed and I missed it somehow.
Without going into too much detail there are several of us trying to hammer this and some other issues out.

4) GSM working?
This I haven't posted elsewhere - but one person building on his own has been tinkering with this.
We think we have a combination that will get GSM working but if go this route it's a workaround and not a true fix.
(Using hlte's GSM libril.so instead of klte)
A true fix means getting it to work on klte - and it's being looked at.

5) Use of my repos
Other than asking that credit goes where credit is due, I don't care if folks use my repos.
I would though kindly ask that people pass back feedback to me if you do release builds - because I won't just yet.
Remember - it's a team effort. Even I'm not doing this by myself - I have help and we're coordinating our efforts where possible.
(So if you're crediting me you will probably want to add Esa Laukkanen and Tom Marshall (Cyanogen Inc.) as well. Thanks!)

---------------------------------------------
Now, I'm going to close this post up by switching from dev hat to mod hat.

Guys, keep it calm and clean. Do not start flaming in this thread.
If there is an issue please bring it to me or another moderator and/or flag the post. Let us mods do our job please.
Thank you and thanks for the support of the many projects out there for the S5.

Although there is a lot of progress with the S5 buildup, let's all be aware, and I've updated the op.

****BE AWARE, BUILDS FOR THE SAMSUNG GALAXY S5 ARE EXPERIMENTAL AT BEST. USE AS A DAILY DRIVER IS NOT RECOMMENDED. BUT IF YOU'RE FEELING FRISKY, FLASH AWAY AND PLEASE REPORT ISSUES WITH A LOGCAT IF POSSIBLE.

    FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK
THE DEV TEAM IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE YOU CAUSE TO YOUR PHONE

** Please be aware some builds may not work, and be patient with the Vanir team as they continue to sort stuff out **

    DIRECTIONS
    Boot to Recovery
    BACKUP
    Wipe System/Data/Davlik/Cache
    Install Rom
    Install Gapps
    Wipe Davlik/Cache
    Profit!

    °°For those flashing custom kernels°°

Be aware- Vanir includes a script that enables their own kernel tweaks. This script does not play well with flashing custom kernels. The solution!

    Flash ROM
    Navigate to- /system/etc/init.d/
    Delete the file- 00kernelcompat
    Reboot to recovery
    Flash kernel
    Profit!

You can also open the ROM zip on your PC before flashing and remove the file from the same directory then flash the ROM and you're good to flash the kernel.

**If you dirty flash between nighties, DO NOT wipe system or data before flashing the ROM. It will wipe gapps and the ROM install script won't be able to restore them**

That said, a clean flash is always recommended

Oh, sorry - forgot left soft key mapping.
That's been updated in my repos as well but it's mapped to Menu - personal preference for now.
The key number has changed from before so make sure any mappings reflect the new key number instead of the one used with S4/N3.
    Thanks!

You have changed your words two times!! Which one is right?

I can assure you it will be QC only for this thread.
I won't do QC and Exynos on the same device/kernel repo, very different h/w architecture.
