woud like someone to help me out with rooting my s5830i device. I am noob, and have tried basically everything.
Techniques tried are;
*framaroot
*upate.zip
*oneclick
*srs root
*gingerbreak.apk
*kingo
*Manually using adb tools on my linux distro. Tried psneuter and rageagainstthecage-arm5.bin

All these techniques have left me confused.

My android is;
-2.3.6
-gingerbread.zclf1

Thanks in advance.

Hi there!

I found this thread that should help. Has full instructions and the files you need.

Please read everything very carefully before doing anything. Good idea to read through the thread a bit too to see feedback from others.

Good luck!

And I'll add....if you have further questions it would be best to ask in that thread. They know the device best. The instructions make sense to me, so just read carefully and follow the instructions to the letter.

You need 10 posts under your belt to post in it, so I suggest looking through your device section and commenting and adding "useful" posts where you can to get to you 10 post minimum, so you can post in the first thread I linked you to.

Here's your device section. http://forum.xda-developers.com/gala...74755906220525

If you have issues following the root guide, you could post a thread in the q&a section for your device as well. Will help get your list count up.

Just be very detailed, like the exact issues/errors you got trying to root.

That's the way it needs to be done. So more details would help to know what the issue is.....however, XDA assist is here to show people where to find what they're looking for....not technical support.

You will need to ask in the sections I linked you to, and/or get your posts up to 10 by contributing to the threads in your section, then ask in the thread for rooting I linked. But again, people need specific details to assist....."didn't work" doesn't give us much to go on.

The people in your phone section know how to handle issues on your device best. I'm sure you will find help there. 👍
