I've done a test build with Arrrghhh's kernel integrated if ya'll are interested. The only thing I've done was remove the TD_WCDMA settings thinking they were the cause of a bug I've been experiencing. It turns out the RIL used with the unified builds didn't like the Atrix HD ICS modems and was the cause of my bug, but I've been having a decent time with this build and thought I'd bring it to your attention.

You'll find test builds that I do here

And this is the link to the one referred in the paragraph above

Hi Skeevydude, you seem to know a tad about RIL and baseband stuff... Any chance you could take a look at the issue I reported here?

http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=50916694&postcount=1540

I have no idea how to start analyzing/debug beyond what I have done so far, but since it is affecting any CM/AOSP based build for me, I would forever be grateful, if it could be resolved. I am more than happy to work with you and test whatever is needed:

thanks for your time and cheers, Stefan

Dam I really want this rom with all the bells and whistles but there is still alot of stability to work on. There is still Some lag at the home screen and some kernals don't work. It boot loops if installed. But this thing does have a lot of options. Oh and the radio signal gets funky.

I agree, but I don't have push access to the PAC-Motorola repo and all my PM's have gone unanswered about it. The device common being used is a little over a month old.

Today I'll sync my local sources, update it all on my end, compile, and upload that. Won't be able to test before releasing because my phone is broke, but that's the best I can do for now.

Also, post in the Atrix HD PAC thread. The only dev thread I really follow for the RAZR HD is CM.

PAC is currently in the 4.4.2 to 4.4.3 transition phase, but I've been testing gerrit commits like crazy for the past few days as well as working on including Archidroid's Optimizations*. I'll let ya'll know something when I have something :p

//on my 4th build today...

*When I'm done, gcc version as well as Archi's stuff will be adjustable with PAC's build script.

Just out of curiosity, will 4.4.3 be based on new KitKat boot loader? Dhacker has released a CM test build with new KitKat boot loader and just wanted to know if the base was going to change.

Within the next two days I'm gonna set it up so that there are two moto_msm8960 builds....3.0 and 3.4 for you KitKat bootloader bastards :p
Might even make it part of my guide.

//no, I'm not jealous ya'll have KK and I don't....not one bit...:silly:

I have to go back to stock and do something in order to text the kit kat builds? I'm on 442 of pac by the way.. 06/05 version

P.s. I thought the kit kat ota had something that locked the loader on 926s. Don't know for sure though but that's why I haven't bothered with rsding back to stock and updating to kit kat.

Test Builds

Haven't started on the KK build yet, but it's not much more than a tweaked device and vendor repo. Got a lot going on at the moment, but 3.4 Pac is on the list after the 2nd post in my guide is done.

I have two builds ready and each have different tweaks and I'm not telling ya what tweaks are in each, oh, and a third is being built as I type this (hopefully it'll finish and I'll upload it when I wake up).

Try to run each build for at least six hours before voting. While the differences arent major, they could affect battery life, responsiveness, cause crashes, etc. Enjoy

Test Build 1
Test Build 2
Test Build 3

Untweaked build from PAC Build Bot -- uses same sources, other than kernel (tests have arrrghhh's kernel), as the test builds, no tweaks, nothing extra.

I'm on the Moto xt925 OTA soak test that was recently leaked. It will be super nice to try a compatible PAC build when released. Anyway what I really just want to say is: Respect for development and cool tweaking efforts for our little Moto devices! Not a developer myself but like tinkering and phone-geeking. Your work is appreciated! Just letting it be known.

Using test build 3, once in a while System UI randomly crashes when using PAC-X theme in dark, but when I do the same operation after reboot, it will not crash. I'd say about every 1-2 hours.

Edit: never mind, just my stupidity to add in gravitybox (Titanium backup)

But I also do notice that I cannot set CPU in the steps between 1.5 and 1.9 GHz, they just want to revert to 1.5, unless I have it at 1.9. This is the only ROM I have seen this with, Gummy, Carbon, and AOSB all seem to support the steps

Oh yeah another question (unrelated to test build) it seems like the Bluetooth stack implementation does not support blueputdroid, one thing I miss from my stock ROM.

I was having that issue with CPU freqs too. What I did was change to 1.9, back out, go back in, change to 1.9, tick the 2nd core box off then on, change to 1.9, finally stuck.

I've seen this issue in the past with Arrrghhh's kernel and the 2nd core. With more advanced CPU tuning apps, you'll see that Core 1 is 1.9 and Core 2 is 1.5.

I'd expect stability to be Test 3, Test 1, Test 2. The difference between Test 3 and Base are minor, very minor.

I'm not sure on the BT part....don't have a single BT device, nor do I keep up with what's what in regards to BT. The only BT I do is file sharing with my PC when I'm too lazy to get up and plug it in to the USB port.

Can we use 4,2 gaaps and are you saying that you feel test 3 is the most stable to you? I'm on it now as I type and it's gotten buggy. I started from 3 and up so.... But like I said... Can we use those gaaps cause that's what I'm using. Things just feel show right now not well see. And I did change my frequency. I think scroll animation might not work in this one though. Thanks. I'll get back to you on 2 and 1

I said I EXPECT build 3 to be more stable, not that it was. Basing that on the fact that it used less exotic compiler flags.

test 1 is linaro gcc 4.8 and Archidroid V2 using O3
test 2 is linaro gcc 4.8 and ARchidroid V2, using Ofast instead of O3
test 3 is linaro gcc 4.7 and default O2 and cflags.

Personally, I've had the best results with test 2, though they all have some odd quirks. Just means we need to find the right cherry-picks to fix the gcc/linaro bugs.

Anyways, got a build build using Archidroid V3, Ofast, and a 3.4 kernel....download it here. (I haven't flashed this since I have an Atrix HD and it doesn't work with 3.4 kernels yet)

And use Gapps for Android 4.3.3. I prefer PA Micro, but anything for 4.4.3 will work....4.2 Gapps, no.

EDIT:
And sorry it took more than 2 days. Been busy with work, and if you've ever worked outside in Arkansas during the summer, you'd understand why I'm exhausted in the evenings. While 90 degreese F isn't that hot, it is when it comes with 75% and higher humidity. I'd rather work in Arizona or Nevada at 110 than Arkansas at 90.

I your right about test 2 even though I haven't touched 1 yet. I still will. Reason for the gaps was because I don't want gaps to be the reason of the bugs. And i feel it doesn't really effect it at least not with the force closes or what not. and I meant 442 not 4.2 gaps But I'll change it to 443 anyway for proper testing. And your absolutely right about the cherry picks. This was always the hard part when bringing something new to the table that's stable. Wish I could read more code. I have to see what's up with battery to. Don't know if were getting that official Max battery life. I would at least 17 to 20 hours on a charge. And dude I know you have a life you have to contribute to. Don't worry about how many days you haven't developed. It's awesome that your trying it out on helping this ROM make stable. So thanks. Stay hydrated dude. Thanks again

I won't be here all that much. You'd be better off posting over at XDA's Atrix HD page (my phone) or the official PAC forum for our phones.

Just letting you all there's another rom to flash :p

Just out of curiosity, will 4.4.3 be based on new KitKat boot loader? Dhacker has released a CM test build with new KitKat boot loader and just wanted to know if the base was going to change.

Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk

Within the next two days I'm gonna set it up so that there are two moto_msm8960 builds....3.0 and 3.4 for you KitKat bootloader bastards :p
Might even make it part of my guide.

    //no, I'm not jealous ya'll have KK and I don't....not one bit...:silly:
