I have requirement where I need to have a phone without a Camera.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace, of which I plan to remove camera.

I have got the service manuals with me, and they suggest that Camera module is connected on a connector and can be removed.

But what I would will the phone function normally without camera module?
or will it malfunction or fail to boot??

Are you kidding me ? o_O
You are likely to mess up if you try to do that. If you don't want camera, don't use it or remove the camera app. But don't try to remove anything on your own !

My workplace requires phone without camera, or camera removed.

I dont think removing Phone Camera is concern,
I am not sure if there are any checks in the Firmware which checks presence of Camera Module.

Also what will Firmware if it does not find camera module connected at all.

First of all Wrong Section mate. Secondly, why not cover the camera lens from inside your Galaxy Ace's backcover. Also delete the camera app.

This is a security requirement at my workplace.
just covering it does not help.

Phone just should not have any physical camera hardware.

Camera Removal Successful.
Thank you everyone for support.

I finally removed the Camera Module from Samsung Galaxy Ace 5830i.

Phone does boot and run with out any issue.

It took hardly 15mins for the process.
