Near Field Communication NFC

I own a nexus 7 with NFC and the two devices have never clearly passed anything! Only once has my Nexus 7 received a photo from this phone.
I've tried many android market apps, I gave up on NFC and now tether and use Nexus Media Importer to transfer photos and other media.

Yes, if you remember what that app was to freeze permissions or remove bloatware, Let me know. Much Thanks for your time.
