Ok, I know I'm a newbie and asking dumb questions. I'm still reading all the great info on this site, but there is a lot of info....kinda overwhelming, still would be nice if someone would be willing to answer though.

-your device is rooted already as i seems or it has been touched ,, plus maybe its not officially unlocked(modded to unlock dunno)]
-whats responsible for the custom is the recovery yes ..but in the system itself its removing any system apps makes it custom.. your recovery is not stock its a custom recovery and the phone never comes with that
im sure someone flashed it and putted the rootkit onto it
-the recovery doesnt read the the root acess to system thats why it asks that and its normal
