[Q] Noob with a Nexus S
I'm new to this forum but have been around the block a few times when it comes to software development, albeit not at a hardware level. I've got a couple old Android phones that I'm looking to root and play around with, but I'm having some trouble with the vernacular. The first device I'm trying is the newest of the old lot, a Nexus S (crespo).
I'm trying to install the "Guru" kernel (http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexu...-guru-t2783561
), but can't see how <4MB would be a complete system image. Does this kernel just reflect a patch that should be applied to the CM ROM, and if so, which one? I've rooted the phone using SuperOneClick but don't know where to go from here.
Thanks for helping this noob out, guys and gals. Cheers from Australia!
